What is Level 3?
The ATHE Level 3 Diploma is a 60-credit Ofqual regulated qualification and is the equivalent level to an A Level or Access to Higher Education qualification. It has been designed for learners who wish to progress to a subject area but may not have the traditional entry qualifications usually required.
Entry Criteria – Level 3
Age: 16 +
Entry profile:
- 5 or more GCSEs at grades C and above
- other related level 2 subjects
- other equivalent international qualifications
- a good knowledge of English
What is Level 4?
Level 4 Diploma is a 120 credits or equivalent in size and level to the first year of a bachelor’s degree.
Entry Criteria – Level 4
The Learners must possess:
- relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 3 Award/Diploma or at the level of GCE/GCSE or any equivalent qualification; or
- work experience of 2 years or more in case you do not hold; any formal qualification; and
- learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course
- a good knowledge of English
What is Level 5?
Entry Criteria – Level 5
These qualifications are designed for learners who are typically aged 18 and have recently been in education or training. The level is equivalent to a 2nd year bachelor’s degree. You will need to demonstrate the following:
- prior study in related study; or
- a level 4 qualification for example an ATHE Level 4 course completed in the same subject area;
- other equivalent international qualifications; and
- a good knowledge of English
